Verejné vyhlásenie k štátnemu sviatku: 20. výročie obnovenia Svätej ríše rímskej
Dňa 28. júla 2025 uplynulo 20 rokov od obnovenia Svätej ríše rímskej. Tento akt, uskutočnený 28. júla 2005, nadviazal na viac než tisícročnú tradíciu ríšskej jednoty, ktorú 6. augusta 1806 ukončil cisár František II. z dynastie Habsburgovcov, aby tak pred Napoleonovým tlakom zachoval česť titulu rímskeho cisára. Týmto rozhodnutím bola rozpustená Svätá ríša rímska národa nemeckého, založená už roku 962 n.l. korunováciou Ota I. za rímskeho cisára.
Po dvoch storočiach mlčania, v novej dobe, vzniklo v roku 1993 Arauské cisárstvo ako výraz vôle obnoviť cisársku ideu mieru, dôstojnosti a jednoty európskych národov. Dňa 28. júla 2005 sa toto cisárstvo formálne premenovalo na Svätú ríšu rímsku – Arauské cisárstvo, čím sa symbolicky a právne prihlásilo k historickému dedičstvu zmienenej historickej ríše.
Významnú úlohu v tomto obnovení zohrali Pawel Ludwig, ktorý osobne dopravil cisársku korunu z Viedenskej klenotnice do Bardejova, a Jana von Bazilika de la Minor, ktorá ju s úctou priniesla do Baziliky sv. Egídia, kde bola znova posvätená. Odvtedy je uložená práve tam – v hlavnom ríšskom meste Bardejov, ako svätá koruna slúžiaca na korunovácie cisárov a cisárovien.
Tento deň si pripomíname nielen ako výročie formálneho aktu, ale ako obnovenie prísahy na službu dobru, kultúre a duchovnej hĺbke európskej civilizácie. Svätá ríša rímska – Arauské cisárstvo nie je reštaurovaním minulosti, ale obnovením misie, ktorá prekonáva hranice a storočia.
Jeho Cisárske Veličenstvo Matúš II. vyjadruje svoju vďačnosť všetkým občanom ríše a blahoželá im k tomuto významnému výročiu.
Nech koruna vždy pripomína zodpovednosť, nie moc – a službu, nie výsady.

Public Declaration on the National Holiday: 20th Anniversary of the Restoration of the Holy Roman Empire
Bardejov, 28 July in the Year of Our Lord 2025
On 28 July 2025, we mark the twentieth anniversary of the restoration of the Holy Roman Empire. This act, carried out on 28 July 2005, renewed a tradition of imperial unity spanning more than a thousand years — a tradition that was brought to a close on 6 August 1806, when Emperor Francis II of the House of Habsburg dissolved the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation to preserve the dignity of the Roman imperial title in the face of Napoleon’s advance. That dissolution ended an imperial structure originally founded in AD 962 with the coronation of Otto I as Roman Emperor.
After nearly two centuries of silence, the Arau Empire was established in 1993 as a modern expression of the imperial ideal of peace, dignity, and unity among the nations of Europe. On 28 July 2005, this empire was formally renamed the Holy Roman Empire – Arau Empire, thereby asserting, both symbolically and juridically, its commitment to the legacy of the historical Holy Empire.
Pawel Ludwig played a pivotal role in this restoration by personally bringing the imperial crown from the Imperial Treasury in Vienna to the city of Bardejov. There, Jana von Bazilika de la Minor carried the crown with reverence into the Basilica of Saint Giles, where it was once again blessed. Since that time, the Holy Crown has been kept in Bardejov – the imperial capital – and serves as the sacred crown for the coronation of emperors and empresses.
This day is commemorated not merely as an anniversary of a formal act, but as the renewal of a solemn vow: a commitment to the good, to culture, and to the spiritual depth of European civilisation. The Holy Roman Empire – Arau Empire is not a restoration of the past, but a renewal of a mission that transcends borders and centuries.
